2017 Hugh E. Stephenson, Jr., MD
Heart and Stroke Ball

Saturday, February 25, 2017

The Hugh E. Stephenson, Jr., MD Heart & Stroke Ball is one of our community’s premier black-tie social events, drawing several hundred prominent medical, business and community leaders.  This event celebrates the mission of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association and allows our wonderful community to show their support.  The American Heart Association’s goals are to fund research and education of cardiovascular disease and stroke.  Families in every Missouri community benefit from research we’ve funded nationwide that has led to many lifesaving discoveries including; CPR, pacemakers, bypass surgery, artificial heart valves, microsurgery and life-extending drugs.  But many medical challenges remain.  Over the past seven years, the American Heart Association has funded over $20 million in new research studies, in Missouri alone.  This amount includes the University of Missouri receiving over $3.4 million funded research dollars during that time period.

The 14th annual Hugh E. Stephenson, Jr., MD Heart & Stroke Ball will be held on February 25, 2017 at Country Club of Missouri.  The event will include a silent auction, cocktail hour reception, an elegant black-tie dinner, a live auction and entertainment.

The sponsors of the Hugh E. Stephenson, Jr., MD Heart & Stroke Ball can take great pride in supporting this event, armed with the knowledge that their contributions will be used to continue the fight against the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 causes of death - cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The mission of the American Heart Association is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
